Show me the full payment schedule

Every month of the loan: payment, interest, principal and remaining balance — the whole table lenders summarize but never print.

Monthly payment
Total interest
First payment: interest
Halfway point (principal > interest)
What is an amortization schedule? Each month's fixed payment split into interest (on remaining balance) and principal. Early payments are mostly interest; the tables flip as the balance shrinks. This tool shows every single row.
When does principal overtake interest?Depends on rate and term. At 6% over 15 years the crossover is around year 7-8. You'll see it jump in the table — it's the psychological halfway point of a loan.
Why send extra principal? An extra payment targets the last rows of the table: pure principal, skipping future interest entirely. The schedule shows exactly which rows you'd eliminate.
Is this the full picture? For a fixed-rate loan, yes — payment, interest and balance are deterministic once the rate is locked. Taxes, insurance and prepayment penalties are separate.
